Throw down the gauntlet to your golf buddies and sign up for the Royal Resorts weekly golf tournament on your next vacation. This fun competition is held every Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at the Playa Mujeres Golf Club. Reservations accepted until 5 p.m. on Monday.

   Dear Allan:
   Thank you writing to Royal Resorts News. I must apologize for the delay in replying to your question about the golf tournament and golf courses. However, here goes: Royal Resorts members and guests are entitled to special rates at the following golf courses:
   Playa Mujeres (a Greg Norman-designed course)
   Kukulcan Golf Club at the Hilton Cancun (designed by Aoki Corporation and Pedro Guereca)
   Iberostar Playa Paraiso Golf Club (designed by P.B. Dye)
   Ask at the Sports Desk upon arrival for more information and current rates, you can also dial direct to the golf clubs to reserve tee times and for transport arrangements.
   The weekly Royal Resorts Golf tournament currently costs $99 US per person and includes transport to Playa Mujeres Golf Course. It is held every Tuesday weather permitting and players must register for the tournament before 5 p.m. on Monday. A minimum of 12 players is required for the tournament to take place and for prizes to be awarded. I hope that this helps and that you enjoy your vacation

   Great idea!! Can’t wait. Are there special reduced rates for the golf course? Is there transportation provided from the resorts? What is the entry fee? What is the tournament prize? See you all on 11/07/09
