Recent media coverage focusing on Mexico’s ongoing fight against organized crime and gang-related violence in areas along the border with the United States may have raised concerns about traveling to other parts of this beautiful country. Do not let them stand in the way of a wonderful vacation. It is safe to travel to Mexico and the Yucatan Peninsula is one of the safest places in the world to vacation.
