Dear Don: Yes, the beaches have all been completely restored and the palapas have been reinstalled at all three resorts. The dredgers, heavy equipment and the pipes have all moved further south. Get ready to enjoy a wonderful vacation on Cancun’s beautiful new beach!

Is the beach restoration project totally completed at the Royal Islander, e.g. pipes gone and palapas installed? I’ll be arriving 1/23 for a 2-wwek stay. Up until last week we were getting great reports of the work in progress. Since then nothing has been posted. Thanks for the great past reporting. I look forward to my stay as always, especially with tnhe beach restored. Please keep us posted. Don

Dear Jody: Thank you for writing to Royal Resorts News. Beach restoration has now been completed at The Royal Mayan, The Royal Caribbean and The Royal Islander and there is access to the beach at all three resorts. The pipes are being dismantled at The Royal Islander but have yet to be removed from The Royal Caribbean and The Royal Mayan – we should have more news on this tomorrow. Palapas have already been reinstalled at The Royal Mayan and will continue at The Royal Caribbean tomorrow; shade umbrellas will be available at The Royal Islander until all restoration vehicles have moved out of the area. I hope that this helps and that you have a wonderful vacation on our beautiful new beach!

We are arriving on Saturday the 16th. So excited! Any word on the removal of the pipes. Been watching webcams and seems nothing happening. Hoping we can use beach next week. Thanks for updates!
